Gillean Kelly, an undergraduate research assistant in the Guler Lab, was recently awarded the UVA Center for Global Health Scholar Award. This research grant will allow Gillean to study anti-malarial drug resistance in Mbarara, Uganda for eight weeks this summer. She will continue previous work done by past CGH and MHIRT scholars, partnering with researchers at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST).
