From Uganda to D.C.


Gillean Kelly, an undergraduate studying in Dr. Guler's Lab, presented her summer research at the Virginia Academy of Science, Engineering, and Medicine (VASEM) Summit last week in Washington, D.C. The topic for the conference was "Emerging Infections and Preparedness," and the summit was held at the National Academy of Sciences. Gillean presented the research she conducted this summer in Mbarara, Uganda on antimalarial drug resistance.
