Mareike Haaren, a graduating fourth year in the Malaria Lab, is giving a talk about her project today. For the past year, Mareike has been working with current PhD candidate, Audrey Brown on improving the lysis of red blood cells (RBCs) and separating the P.falciparum parasite from the RBC membrane. The improved method should help with study of metabolomics of the parasite in future experiments done by the lab. Good Luck to Mareike. She has worked very hard this year.
