Congratulations to Shiwei Liu for being awarded her first Grant. GIDI accepted Shiwei's proposal of using next generation sequencing to help evaluate research done with droplet digital (dd)PCR on individual genomic loci amplification. Using this method Shiwei will be able to establish whether or not her hypothesis about point mutations accumulating in gene copies is accurate.
